About Bedding

• In order to experience the full capability of circuit–dedicated pads created to be heat–resistant, it is necessary to carry out the process of ‘bedding‘ which includes heating them prior to strenuous usage.
• Competing in the most prestigious levels of motorsport, such as SUPER GT, WRC and other European events, is a sign of a professional racing career.
• Prior to utilizing semi–metallic brake pads, the proper “bedding–in“ process must be done in order to ensure optimal high temperature operation and extend the life of the pads and rotors.
• How to Bed:
  • When beginning a new item in a circuit, heating the rotor to a temperature between 400–500° C is necessary. Additionally, any rapid deceleration should be avoided. Afterwards, the atari can be introduced and the rotor should be allowed to cool to 100° C or below, thus concluding the procedure.
