Anodizing, however, takes it a step further by forming a stronger and more resilient coating of aluminum oxide. “E-Slit” Double Shaving Effect

• The remarkable performance of the E–Slit Rotor is due to the combination of a long slit that creates curves and an “E“ slit near the top. The two slits work together to maintain the pad in ideal condition and create a two–tone effect. The long slit creates a gentle pad etching while the “E“ slit adds extra stopping power, resulting in increased efficiency. When the long slit is no longer visible on the rotor side and the letter “E“ is not visible, it is time to replace the rotor.

Special Heat Treatment Process

• The use of a rotor for long and strenuous periods of times can lead to the formation of heat cracks due to the heat generated. To reduce the chances of heat cracks from hard driving, a pre–treatment was done to reinforce the rotor components, thus prolonging the rotor‘s lifespan and allowing it to be used for a longer period with less concern.

About Bedding

• Maximizing the utilization of ‘bedding‘ is an absolute necessity for circuit–specific pads that are designed to function even at high temperatures. Preheating should be done prior to hard–driving to avert any harm caused by extremely high temperatures.
• In order to compete in the highest levels of motor racing, such as SUPER GT, WRC, and some European events, drivers must have a car that is properly configured.
• It is necessary to carry out an appropriate bedding–in procedure before using semi–metallic brake pads in order to ensure the best performance at high temperatures and extend the lifespan of both the brake pads and rotors.
• How to Bed:
  • When introducing a new product to a circuit, it is important to preheat the rotor to a range of 400–500° C and be careful when braking to prevent excessive pressure. Once that is done, incorporate the atari and allow the rotor to cool down to 100° C or lower to finish the process.
