Blue Anodized Finish

• When raw aluminum is exposed to the atmosphere, it develops a protective coating on its surface, which is a process known as oxidation. This is similar to rust, but anodizing takes it to a higher level of protection by creating an even stronger and impervious coat of aluminum oxide. “E-Slit” Double Shaving Effect

Special Heat Treatment Process

• A pre–treatment was done to the rotor prior to it being used for extended periods of heavy use to increase its durability. This is because the heat generated from the build–up of use would cause the surface to expand and contract, resulting in the formation of small cracks (heat cracks). As a result of the pre–treatment, the life expectancy of the rotor has been increased and it can now be used with less concern for a longer period of time.

About Bedding

• In order to access the maximum potential of circuit–specific pads that are designed to perform in high temperatures, a preheating process called ‘bedding‘ must be employed prior to hard–driving. This will help to ensure that the pads are not detrimentally impacted by extreme temperatures.
• Competitions at the highest level of motorsports, including SUPER GT, WRC, and some European events, all necessitate the use of bedding.
• Before using semi–metallic brake pads, it is necessary to carry out an appropriate bedding–in process to make sure the brakes work optimally when hot and to prolong the life of both the brake pads and rotors.
• How to Bed:
  • When running a new product on a circuit, make sure to warm up the rotor to a temperature between 400–500° C, avoiding any heavy braking. Once the rotor has been sufficiently heated, you may add atari, and let the rotor cool until it reaches a temperature of 100° C or lower, thus ending the process.
