Blue Anodized Finish

• When aluminum is exposed to the atmosphere, it undergoes an oxidation process in which a protective film is formed on its surface, similar to rust. However, anodizing takes this process one step further, resulting in an even tougher, impenetrable layer of aluminum oxide that is highly resistant to abrasion. This is why anodizing is the preferred choice for applications such as racetracks.

“E-Slit” Double Shaving Effect

• The E–Slit Rotor is a remarkable piece of machinery due to its innovative combination of the curve–creating long slit and the “E“ slit at the top. The dual shading effect from the long and “E“ slits helps to keep the pad in pristine condition. Special Heat Treatment Process

• When a rotor is heavily used over a long period of time, the heat generated can cause its surface to expand and contract, leading to the formation of small cracks (heat cracks). To address this issue, a pre–treatment was conducted to reinforce the rotor components and lower the risk of heat cracks caused by tough driving. Consequently, the life of the rotor has been extended, allowing for greater peace of mind when using it for an extended duration.

About Bedding

• In order to maximize the performance of circuit–specific pads that are built to perform in high temperatures, it is important to incorporate a process called ‘bedding‘. This process entails preheating the pads before hard–driving, to ensure they will not be detrimentally affected by extreme temperatures.
• The most elite levels of motorsport, including SUPER GT, WRC, and a number of European events, necessitate the use of bedding.
• Before using semi–metallic brake pads, it is important to do a proper bedding–in process to make sure the highest temperature performance is achieved and to increase the lifespan of both the brake pads and rotors.
• How to Bed:
  • When working with a new product on a circuit, it is important to heat the rotor to a temperature between 400–500° C without applying too much of a brake. After that step is complete, you can add atari and allow the rotor to cool down until it reaches a temperature of 100° C or lower, thus completing the process.
