Development

• During the development of this product, significant effort was invested in determining the optimal design for a Y-pipe, resulting in a high-performance solution. The do88 Y-pipe combines excellent flow rate and low weight by utilizing mandrel-bent lightweight pipes joined with a precision-engineered 3D freeform-designed cast joint. CNC-machined connections for the BOV and breather hoses are welded onto the cast section, ensuring durability and functionality. This construction delivers outstanding performance while adding minimal weight. The do88 Performance Y-pipe weighs 3.35lbs compared to the OEM plastic pipe at 3.04 lbs and a competitor’s cast performance pipe at 6.08lbs, highlighting its superior balance of strength and efficiency.
