Development

• The development of the do88 Performance Plenum involved extensive flow simulations of its internal Y-shape design, utilizing CAD systems and real-world testing on a SuperFlow SF-1020 flow bench with 3D-printed models. The final design demonstrated impressive results, outperforming the OEM plenum by delivering 34% increased airflow at the same pressure drop. To achieve this performance, the plenum is manufactured using a 3D freeform casting process, which balances high performance with minimal weight increase. The do88 Performance Plenum weighs 1.76lbs, compared to the OEM plastic pipe at 0.62lbs and a competitor’s cast performance pipe at 2.63lbs, making it a lightweight yet powerful upgrade.
