The Subaru WRX has long been celebrated as an outstanding performance car, and the 2022+ model continues this legacy. While some enthusiasts were disappointed by the absence of the STI, many will find the WRX more capable than anticipated. Equipped with the larger 2.4-liter Flat Four (FA24F), the Second Generation WRX offers performance potential comparable to the STI’s previous 2.5L EJ25 engine. Subaru has even tested the FA24F extensively in endurance races like the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and in rally events, proving its robustness. Straight from the factory, the VB WRX is a well-engineered and competent vehicle. However, the stock cooling system, while suitable for spirited driving and daily use, can be insufficient during intense track sessions or with enhanced tuning.
