COBB Tuning’s Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust for GD/GG Subaru WRX and WRX STI replaces everything from the catalytic converters rearward with Grade 4 titanium tubing, back-purged welds and a blued titanium tip, and COBB puts the finished system at less than half the weight of the factory exhaust. The stainless COBB cat-back covers the same cars for much less money, so this one makes sense on a well-kept example where shedding weight over the rear axle justifies the cost.

Construction

The Titanium Cat-Back Exhaust for GD/GG Subaru uses Grade 4 titanium for its corrosion resistance and its tolerance of impacts. Every weld is back-purged, shielding the inside of the joint from contamination as it is made. Slip-fit connections throughout let the installer shift the pipework and tip to suit the chassis, and COBB credits the build quality and bespoke straight-through oval muffler with a refined note instead of the tinny sound some titanium systems make.

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
