Can I run the Silver Power Package for BT Outback models in California?

Yes. COBB lists California Air Resources Board Executive Order D-660-253 for the Silver Power Package for BT Outback models, so it can be sold and used on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states, provided it is installed according to the COBB application guide.

Does this package fit the Legacy XT or the Ascent?

No. The confirmed application list covers only the 2020 through 2022 USDM Outback XT and the 2022 USDM Outback Wilderness with the CVT. Legacy XT and Ascent owners can use the COBB Stage 1 package, which pairs the same Accessport V3 with the High Flow Filter.

How does the silver package differ from the black one?

The intercooler finish is the only difference. Silver leaves the core visible and bright through the hood scoop, while black hides it. Every other part, from the Accessport V3 to the aluminum charge pipe kit, intake tube, filter and badge, is the same, and both share CARB EO D-660-253.

What parts come in the box?

Six items ship together: the AP3-SUB-005 Accessport V3, the B43410-SL silver top mount intercooler with its Thrust Tunnel and couplers, the 746110 aluminum charge pipe kit, the COBB intake tube, the 716110 High Flow Filter and the 800200 COBB vehicle badge.

Will a top mount intercooler add turbo lag?

No. COBB designed the top mount in the Silver Power Package for BT Outback models for owners who want more airflow and cooling without the transient response penalty that a front mount layout can bring. It sits in the factory position, using the stock inlet and outlet seals, so the charge path stays short.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Silver Power Package for BT Subaru Outback

COBB Tuning’s Stage 2 Silver Power Package for BT Outback XT and Wilderness owners is the complete Stage 2 order, built around the B43410-SL top mount intercooler in a bright silver finish that shows clearly under the hood scoop. Its Garrett core measures 20 x 7 x 4 in, and the AP3-SUB-005 Accessport V3 handles the calibration. CARB EO D-660-253 keeps the full kit street legal in every state. It suits an owner committed to the intercooler, charge pipe and intake together; lighter builds belong at Stage 1.

Charge Cooling Hardware

Inside the Silver Power Package for BT Outback models, the intercooler pairs bespoke cast aluminum end tanks with the Garrett core, and COBB quotes a 30 percent airflow increase over the stock part. A Thrust Tunnel in wrinkle black powder coated aluminum attaches to the OEM hood duct to feed the core,. COBB adds its aluminum charge pipe kit, intake tube and High Flow Filter so the whole path from filter to throttle body is upgraded at once.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
