Does the Stage 2 Redline Carbon Fiber Power Package fit the Acura Integra Type S?

Yes. COBB confirms it for the 2024 to 2026 USDM Integra Type S with the manual gearbox and the 2023 to 2026 USDM Civic Type R. The intercooler bolts into the factory location on the Civic with no modification, while the Integra needs minimal modification.

Is this package legal to run in California?

Yes. COBB lists the package as 50-state legal under CARB Executive Order numbers D-660-273 and D-660-345 when it is installed per the COBB application guide. The intercooler kit on its own is also covered by EO D-660-329 for these model years.

Does the ECU need to go to COBB before installing?

Yes. On the FL5 and DE5, the factory ECU has to be shipped to COBB Tuning and unlocked before the Accessport can communicate with it. After that, maps load from the driver seat, and the Uninstall option restores the original calibration.

Why does Stage 2 add an intercooler?

The factory intercooler flows well but has limited cooling capacity and can heat soak when it is worked hard. The COBB kit uses a Garrett core measuring 26.2 x 7 x 4.25 inches, about double the stock size, so power stays more consistent across repeated pulls.

How does this differ from the Stage 1+ Redline package?

The Stage 2 Redline Carbon Fiber Power Package adds the black COBB intercooler kit and a COBB vehicle badge to the Accessport and Redline intake found in Stage 1+. Choose Stage 2 for track use or hot climates, and Stage 1+ for a street car on the factory intercooler.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Redline Carbon Fiber Power Package with Black Intercooler for FL5 Honda Civic Type R and DE5 Acura Integra Type S

COBB Tuning’s Stage 2 Redline Carbon Fiber Power Package puts an Accessport V3, the Redline carbon fiber intake and a wrinkle black intercooler kit into one order for the FL5 Civic Type R and DE5 Integra Type S. The intercooler is the reason to choose it: its Garrett core is 101 percent larger than the factory part, which pays off on track days and in summer heat, where the stock unit tends to heat soak. Daily commuters are better served by Stage 1+. Allow time for one extra step, since the factory ECU has to be shipped to COBB and unlocked before the first flash.

Features

Stage 2 Redline Carbon Fiber parts run on existing COBB Off The Shelf maps
Accessport V3 shows up to six live parameters, stores 100 maps and logs up to 10 hours
Launch Control, Flat Foot Shifting and Burnout Mode
Airbox laid up from multiple plies of 2×2 twill carbon fiber in a gloss clear coat
MAF housing cross section 36 percent larger than stock
Garrett intercooler core of 26.2 x 7 x 4.25 in with cast aluminum end tanks
2.5 in mandrel bent aluminum charge pipes in wrinkle black powder coat
Billet upper mounts and new bushings carry the heavier intercooler

Notes

50-state legal with CARB EO D-660-273 and D-660-345
The factory ECU must be shipped to COBB Tuning to be unlocked before the Accessport can flash it
Flashing the Accessport over non-factory, non-COBB software may cause ECU or TCU failure
The Redline intake requires tuning and runs on COBB Stage 1+ and Stage 2 Off The Shelf maps
Carbon fiber parts are hand laid, so slight imperfections or weave variances can be expected

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
