Does the Stage 1+ SF Power Package include the Accessport?

Yes. The package ships with the Accessport V3 for Subaru, part AP3-SUB-004, together with the SF Intake System, part 745120. The Accessport flashes the matching +SF map once the intake is fitted, so no separate tuning device is needed for the WRX.

Is the Stage 1+ SF Power Package legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists the Stage 1+ SF Power Package as legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when it is used in accordance with the manufacturer application guide. It carries California Air Resources Board Executive Order D-660-109.

Will this package fit a WRX STI or a 2022 WRX?

No. COBB confirms this package only for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX sedan sold in the USA, with the manual or the CVT transmission. The WRX STI of the same years uses a different engine, and the 2022 and later WRX is a new platform, so both need their own COBB packages.

Which map do I run after installing the SF intake?

Run a COBB Off The Shelf map marked +SF. Those maps are calibrated for the airflow reading that the SF velocity stack MAF housing produces, and they are listed in the Accessport firmware and on the Maps section of the COBB website. Owners on a custom tune should ask their tuner to revise the calibration for the new intake instead.

Does the package work with the CVT automatic?

Yes. The confirmed applications list covers both transmissions offered on the 2015-2021 WRX sedan, the six speed manual and the CVT, for USDM cars. The same parts are supplied either way, and the +SF map for the transmission is chosen on the Accessport.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1+ SF Power Package for VA Subaru WRX

COBB Tuning’s Stage 1+ SF Power Package for the 2015-2021 WRX sedan puts the two things a Stage 1+ car needs into one box: an Accessport V3 for Subaru and the SF Intake System, with CARB Executive Order D-660-109 covering the pair in all 50 states. It suits an owner who wants more from a stock WRX without touching the exhaust; if a downpipe or front mount is already planned, a Stage 2 package or custom tune serves better.

Design and Performance

The WRX meters its air through a mass airflow sensor, so any intake change alters what the ECU believes it is breathing. That is why the Stage 1+ SF Power Package arrives as a pair: the intake adds airflow, and the Accessport flashes a COBB Off The Shelf map marked +SF that is calibrated for the new MAF housing.

Construction

The airbox is black powder coated aluminum with a slot in its face that takes air from the factory scoop. Inside sits a larger pre-oiled conical filter feeding a one piece velocity stack MAF housing in high temperature plastic composite, which saves weight and limits heat transfer. A CFD-designed stack and straightener grid smooth the air before the sensor.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
