What comes in the Stage 1+ Power Package NIS-007?

The Stage 1+ Power Package NIS-007 contains three items: the AP3-NIS-007 Accessport V3, the aluminum Big SF Intake System with its cone filters, couplers and clamps, and the COBB sticker for CARB Executive Order D-660-133, which should stay with the car.

Is this package legal to run in California?

Yes. COBB lists the package as legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states because it carries California Air Resources Board Executive Order D-660-133, provided it is installed and used according to the COBB application guide.

Can the GT-R run E85 with this package?

No. The package changes the intake and the ECU calibration but adds no ethanol content sensor, no CAN Gateway and no uprated fuel pump. COBB sells those parts in its Stage 1+ CAN Flex Fuel packages for the same NIS-007 Accessport.

Does the intake require removing the front bumper?

No. COBB designed the Big SF intake to install without cutting or trimming and without taking off the bumper skin or bumper support. The factory airbox comes out, the aluminum tubes bolt in, and the Accessport then guides the owner through flashing a Big SF map.

Which GT-R models are confirmed for this kit?

COBB confirms the standard USDM R35 GT-R from 2015 through 2018, EDM cars from 2014 through 2017, and ADM, East Asia, Gulf Spec, JDM and South Africa cars from 2014 through 2016. NISMO models do not appear in the confirmed list for the Stage 1+ Power Package NIS-007, so check with us before ordering one.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1+ Power Package NIS-007 for R35 Nissan GT-R

COBB Tuning’s Stage 1+ Power Package NIS-007 joins the AP3-NIS-007 Accessport V3 with the aluminum Big SF Intake System for the later R35 GT-R, and the pair is covered by CARB EO D-660-133, so the car stays legal on the street in every state, California included. It is the measured first step for a pump fuel owner who wants a recalibrated ECU and more MAF headroom in one box. It adds nothing to the fuel system, so anyone planning on E85 should look at the CAN Flex Fuel packages, and gearbox flashing lives on the NIS-008 Accessport.

Tuning and Intake

The Big SF intake replaces the factory airbox with mandrel bent 3.0 inch aluminum tubing, so the MAF sensors read lower for the same air mass and stay accurate further up the range. That change means the ECU must be recalibrated, which is why the Stage 1+ Power Package NIS-007 ships with the Accessport: it flashes the free Big SF Off The Shelf maps from the COBB database or a custom tune from a COBB tuner, and its Uninstall option returns the ECU to factory software when the car is sold or serviced.

Features

Mandrel bent 3.0 inch aluminum intake tubing in wrinkle black powdercoat
Pre-oiled, cleanable and reusable K&N cone filter elements
Intake fits without cutting, trimming or bumper removal
Datalogs multiple channels, storing up to 10 hours
Made in the USA

Nissan GT-R: R35 | 2014-2017 | International markets (EDM 2014-2017; ADM, East Asia, Gulf Spec, JDM and South Africa 2014-2016)

Notes

50-state legal with CARB EO D-660-133 when used in accordance with the COBB application guide

The NIS-007 Accessport tunes the engine only; TCM flashing and adjustable launch control need the NIS-008 Accessport
2014 USDM GT-R models take the NIS-005 packages rather than this one
COBB does not list GT-R NISMO models in the confirmed applications for this package

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
