What comes in the Stage 1+ EcoBoost Power Package for the S550 Mustang?

The Stage 1+ EcoBoost Power Package contains two COBB parts: the Accessport V3 for Ford Mustang EcoBoost, part AP3-FOR-003, and the COBB Cold Air Intake, part 7M1100. The intake brings its own aluminum airbox, tube and dual cone filter, so no other hardware is needed for the matching map.

Is this package legal to run in California?

Yes. COBB lists California Air Resources Board Executive Order D-660-167 for this package, which makes it legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed according to the COBB application guide. Run the COBB map that matches the installed parts.

Does it fit a 2018 or newer Mustang EcoBoost?

No. COBB confirms this package only for 2015, 2016 and 2017 Mustang EcoBoost models, and the intake in the kit is listed for those years alone. Owners of 2018 to 2023 cars should choose the COBB parts listed for their model year instead.

Does the package work with both manual and automatic transmissions?

Yes for US cars. COBB confirms both the manual and the automatic Mustang EcoBoost from 2015 to 2017 in USDM and EDM form. For CHDM and SKDM market cars only the automatic is listed. Flat Foot Shift, which holds RPM during gear changes, is a manual transmission feature only.

How difficult is the installation?

It is a home garage job. The intake takes the place of the factory airbox and inlet tube, then on-screen Accessport prompts identify the exact car and list its available maps during the flash. The Uninstall option restores the original factory calibration whenever needed.

Can the Accessport carry a custom tune later on?

Yes. The Accessport in the Stage 1+ EcoBoost Power Package stores up to 100 maps, either COBB Off The Shelf maps for most bolt-on parts or a custom calibration from a COBB tuner, so it keeps working as the build grows.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1+ EcoBoost Power Package for S550 Ford Mustang

COBB Tuning’s Stage 1+ EcoBoost Power Package for the 2015-2017 S550 Ford Mustang bundles the Accessport V3 with COBB’s own Cold Air Intake, so the ECU calibration and the intake hardware it expects arrive together. CARB Executive Order D-660-167 covers the pair, which keeps the 2.3 liter car legal in all 50 states. It is the sensible first step for an otherwise stock early S550; owners who already have an aftermarket intake fitted only need the Accessport on its own.

Design and Performance

The intake runs a full 3 inch aluminum tube, mandrel bent and powder coated black, into a custom aluminum airbox around a dual cone filter whose green element can be washed and refitted. The Accessport then flashes a COBB Off The Shelf map written for that hardware, which is why the Stage 1+ EcoBoost Power Package is sold as one matched set.

Features

Accessport V3 stores up to 100 maps and switches between them quickly
Live gauge display reads boost and other parameters directly from the ECU
Multi-channel datalogging with up to 10 hours of storage
Performance timing for 0-60 mph, 60 foot, quarter mile ET and trap speed
Black powder coated 3 inch aluminum intake tube and aluminum airbox
Reusable dual cone filter that can be cleaned for the life of the vehicle

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
