What is included in the CAN Flex Fuel Package NIS-006?

The CAN Flex Fuel Package NIS-006 ships with seven COBB items: the AP3-NIS-006 Accessport V3 with TCM flashing, the aluminum Big SF Intake System, a High Flow Fuel Pump Kit, the CAN Gateway Module, its Harness and Bracket Kit, the CAN Gateway Flex Fuel Kit and a COBB Vehicle Badge. Fuel pressure monitoring is sold separately.

Can this package be used on the street in California?

No. COBB states it is not legal for sale or use in California on any emission controlled motor vehicle while CARB testing is pending. Elsewhere COBB supports on-street sale through SEMA Garage Emissions Certification SC-COB01-0086 under the EPA Anti-Tampering Policy.

Is there an off the shelf flex fuel map for it?

Yes. COBB lists a Stage 1+ Big SF Flex Fuel map for the 005 and 006 Accessports, written for this intake and the Gateway hardware. Cars with further modifications can run a custom map from a COBB Protuner through the same Accessport instead.

Why does a flex fuel kit include a fuel pump?

Ethanol holds less energy per gallon than gasoline, so an engine on E85 needs considerably more fuel to make the same power. COBB includes the High Flow Fuel Pump Kit so supply keeps pace with that richer mixture, while the factory rails and regulator stay in place.

Which GT-R models does it fit?

COBB confirms the R35 GT-R in USDM form from 2009 through 2014, JDM cars from 2008 through 2013, and ADM, East Asia, EDM, Gulf Spec and South Africa cars from 2009 through 2013. Vspec and Vspec Race versions from the 2009 and 2010 model years are covered as well.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1+ CAN Flex Fuel Package NIS-006 with TCM Flashing for R35 Nissan GT-R

COBB Tuning’s CAN Flex Fuel Package NIS-006 gives a 2009-2014 R35 GT-R the hardware to run any blend from pump gasoline to E85, while the AP3-NIS-006 Accessport V3 calibrates the transmission as well as the engine. A CAN Gateway reports ethanol content to the ECU, a High Flow Fuel Pump Kit adds supply, and the powdercoated aluminum Big SF Intake completes the base. Choose it if E85 is easy to buy where you drive; a car staying on gasoline is better served by the CARB-legal Stage 1+ kit.

Fuel and Gearbox

The ethanol sensor is plumbed with E85-compatible SAE 30R9 hose and a PTFE-lined -6AN line. Because the Gateway sends ethanol content digitally, no factory 0-5V input is used up. The CAN Flex Fuel Package NIS-006 also lets the Accessport enhance launch control, run gear learning and adjust clutch capacity and touch points.

Mandrel bent 3.0 inch Big SF aluminum tubing in wrinkle black powdercoat

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. Please review the full Terms & Conditions here.

BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
