What comes in the Silver Front Mount Intercooler Package?

The Silver Front Mount Intercooler Package contains the COBB intercooler core in silver, the hot and cold pipe kit, the Redline gloss carbon fiber power scoop, the aluminum intake tube, a High Flow Filter and a COBB badge. COBB sells each part separately too, but this package groups them for the 2022 to 2026 WRX.

Is an Accessport or tune included?

No. The package is hardware only. COBB states that the Redline power scoop is safe on the factory calibration or any COBB Off The Shelf map, and the package listing names no separate tuning requirement for the intercooler or intake tube. Owners on a custom map should check with their tuner.

Is this package legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists the package as legal for sale and use on emissions-controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed according to its application guide. The California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers printed for it are D-660-266 and D-660-320.

Which WRX models does it fit?

COBB confirms the 2022 to 2026 VB WRX sedan in USDM form with the manual or the CVT, plus the 2024 WRX TR sedan with the manual. Australian market sedans and the CVT WRX Sportswagon from 2022 to 2026 are listed too. It does not fit the 2015 to 2021 VA WRX or any WRX STI.

How does the silver version differ from the black one?

Only in the intercooler core finish. This package uses core part number 746550-Silver-Core, while the black package uses 746550-Black-Core. The hot and cold pipe kit, Redline power scoop, aluminum intake tube, High Flow Filter and price are identical, so choose by finish.

Description

COBB Tuning Silver Front Mount Intercooler Package with Redline Gloss Intake for VB Subaru WRX

COBB Tuning’s Silver Front Mount Intercooler Package puts two upgrades for the 2022-present VB Subaru WRX in one box: a silver COBB intercooler core with its charge piping, and the Redline gloss carbon intake set. Every part is covered by CARB Executive Orders D-660-266 and D-660-320, so the package can go on a registered WRX in any state. It suits an owner who wants cooler charge air and a finished engine bay done in one job. There is no Accessport in the kit; if you plan to tune, budget for one separately.

Intercooler Design

Swapping the factory intercooler increases airflow and lowers charge air temperature, which COBB credits with higher, more consistent power. Front mount layouts usually pay for cooling with long pipe runs and slower transient response; the Silver Front Mount Intercooler Package keeps its piping short to avoid that.

Features

Front mount intercooler core in a silver finish with a matching hot and cold pipe kit
Short charge pipe routing chosen to preserve transient response
Redline power scoop in 2×2 twill carbon fiber with a gloss coating
Billet machined and anodized clamps with all-black hardware
Aluminum intake tube between the factory airbox and the turbo inlet
High Flow Filter with single-layer polyester media and a precision molded rubber base

What’s Included

Front Mount Intercooler Core, Silver (746550-Silver-Core)
Hot and Cold Pipe Kit (746550-Piping)
Redline Gloss Carbon Fiber Power Scoop (746150)
Aluminum Intake Tube (746100)
High Flow Filter (716110)
COBB Badge

Applications

Subaru WRX Sedan: VB | 2022-present | Manual or CVT | USDM and ADM
Subaru WRX Sportswagon: 2022-present | CVT | ADM
Subaru WRX TR Sedan: VB | 2024 | Manual | USDM

Notes

50-state legal for sale and use on emissions-controlled vehicles with CARB EO D-660-266 and D-660-320 when installed per the COBB application guide
Accessport not included; this package is hardware only
The rear section of the factory airbox stays in place because it houses the federally mandated hydrocarbon trap
Fits only the 2022-2026 WRX applications listed above, not the 2015-2021 VA WRX or the WRX STI

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
