What does the PDK Accessport V3 for 997.2 Turbo models change in the gearbox?

Its maps raise the minimum shift points in Normal and Sport modes, firm up shifts and reduce continuous clutch slip between roughly 1000 and 2500 RPM. COBB Aggressive also shortens shift times, and High Torque Aggressive adds higher clutch pressures. The PDK Accessport V3 for 997.2 cars loads these alongside the engine map.

When should the High Torque Aggressive map be used?

COBB says it is typically used on vehicles whose engine torque has been raised 50 percent or more over stock. It carries every COBB Sport change and adds higher maximum clutch pressures to reduce slip after shifting. A PDK relearn may be required when moving from this map to another COBB map or when uninstalling.

Does it fit a manual 997.2 Turbo?

No. COBB confirms this part number only for PDK-equipped 911 Turbo and Turbo S models from 2010 through 2013, and its transmission maps need the PDK to work with. Owners of a manual 997.2 Turbo should contact Bulletproof Automotive to confirm the correct engine-only Accessport before ordering.

Is it legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists CARB Executive Order numbers D-660-70 and D-660-91 for this Accessport. They allow sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states, including California, when the device is used in accordance with the COBB application guide for the 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S.

Does it change how the car drives at low speed?

Yes, to a degree. The COBB Sport, Aggressive and High Torque Aggressive maps all lower the RPM at which the clutch engages in continuous slip, generally between 1000 and 2500 RPM, and raise the minimum shift points in Normal and Sport modes. The aim is less clutch slip, with the gearbox holding gears slightly longer.

Description

COBB Tuning PDK Accessport V3 for 997.2 Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S

COBB Tuning’s PDK Accessport V3 for 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S models tunes both the engine and transmission control units on 2010 to 2013 PDK cars. Its gearbox maps raise minimum shift points, firm up shifts and reduce continuous clutch slip. A High Torque Aggressive map adds higher maximum clutch pressure for engines making roughly 50 percent or more torque than stock. CARB Executive Orders D-660-70 and D-660-91 cover the device in all 50 states. For a lightly modified Turbo, Sport or Aggressive is the sensible choice.

PDK Transmission Calibrations

On the PDK Accessport V3 for 997.2 cars, COBB Sport raises the lowest RPM at which the PDK will shift to the next gear in Normal and Sport drive modes, increases shift firmness, and lowers the RPM at which the clutch runs in continuous slip, a range COBB puts generally between 1000 and 2500 RPM. COBB Aggressive keeps every one of those changes and shortens upshift and downshift times. COBB High Torque Aggressive pairs the Sport changes with higher maximum clutch pressures, and a PDK relearn may be required when leaving that map for another COBB map or when uninstalling.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
