Does the Gen2 Stage 1 Power Package fit a 2010 Mazdaspeed3?

Yes. The Gen2 Stage 1 Power Package is confirmed by COBB for the US market Mazdaspeed3 from 2010 through 2013, the second generation BL car. The list also names the world market Mazda3 MPS and Mazdaspeed Axela from 2010 through 2012. First generation cars from 2007 to 2009 need the Gen1 package.

How is the Stage 1 package different from Stage 1+?

Stage 1 pairs the Accessport V3 with a High Flow Filter and the Rear Motor Mount. The Gen2 Stage 1+ package keeps the Accessport and mount but swaps the filter for the COBB SF Intake System with the Gen2 airbox, then adds the Turbo Inlet Hose and upgraded fuel pump internals for a larger step in airflow and fuel supply.

Yes. This package carries California Air Resources Board Executive Order number D-660-98. With that EO it is legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in every state, including California, provided the installation follows the COBB application guide for the second generation Mazdaspeed3.

Does the High Flow Filter need oiling before installation?

No. COBB ships the High Flow Filter pre-oiled, so it is ready to fit straight out of the box. The woven cotton media is washable and reusable, which means the owner cleans the same filter when it gets dirty instead of buying a new disposable element every time.

What else can the Accessport V3 do on the Mazdaspeed3?

Beyond flashing maps, it reads and clears engine trouble codes, shows up to six live gauges, logs data for up to 10 hours and measures 0-60 mph, 60 foot and quarter mile runs. An Uninstall option returns the ECU to exactly how it was before the Accessport was installed.

Description

COBB Tuning Gen2 Stage 1 Power Package for BL Mazda Mazdaspeed3

COBB Tuning’s Gen2 Stage 1 Power Package is built for the 2010-2013 Mazdaspeed3 owner who wants a measured step up without pulling the intake tract apart. The box holds the MAZDASPEED Accessport V3, a COBB High Flow Filter in pre-oiled cotton media and the Ford / Mazda Rear Motor Mount, and COBB has CARB EO D-660-98 covering street use in all 50 states. Drivers chasing more with an SF Intake, airbox and fuel pump upgrade will find the Gen2 Stage 1+ bundle a better fit.

Design and Performance

Each piece addresses a different limit on the BL hatch. The Accessport flashes COBB calibrations in place of the factory settings, the High Flow Filter is washable and reusable so it can be cleaned rather than thrown away, and the rear mount keeps the engine from moving excessively, which helps traction and reduces wheel hop. The Gen2 Stage 1 Power Package therefore treats power, airflow and drivability together.

Features

Accessport V3 stores up to 100 maps and switches between them at the push of a button
Advanced Tuning Settings for launch control, flat-foot shift and wastegate duty cycle (-50% to +10%, on COBB Off The Shelf maps)
High Flow Filter in woven cotton media, shipped pre-oiled
Rear Motor Mount that reduces wheel hop under hard acceleration

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
