How does the Accessport V3 NIS-008 for R35 models differ from NIS-007?

Both cover the same 2014 to 2018 GT-R applications and share the engine features. The Accessport V3 NIS-008 for R35 cars adds transmission control module flashing, clutch touch point and torque capacity adjustment, factory gear learning, transmission logging and COBB Adjustable Launch Control.

Does it work on the 2017 GT-R NISMO?

Yes. COBB confirms the USDM GT-R NISMO for 2015, 2016 and 2017, and also lists NISMO cars from Japan, Europe, Australia and the Gulf for various years between 2014 and 2016. Standard USDM GT-R models from 2015 through 2018 are confirmed as well.

Can the launch RPM be changed?

Yes. COBB Adjustable Launch Control changes the factory launch control RPM to suit the tires and surface, and Boost Off The Line can build boost to spool the turbos before launch once it is enabled in the ECU calibration. Traction slip targets can also be adjusted on the fly in slots 1 through 8.

Is it legal in California?

Yes. This Accessport holds CARB Executive Order D-660-134, which COBB says allows sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when the device is used according to the manufacturer application guide. That covers California registered GT-R models within the confirmed fitment list.

How long does a map change take?

COBB Fast ECU Flashing reduces the time needed to flash a map change to the ECU to 40 seconds or less. With on-the-fly map switching, a driver can also move between calibrations while driving, so a street map and a higher boost map can share the device.

Description

COBB Tuning Accessport V3 NIS-008 for R35 Nissan GT-R with TCM Flashing

COBB Tuning’s Accessport V3 NIS-008 for R35 Nissan GT-R models is the fuller of the two Accessport V3 options for the later cars, flashing both the ECU and the transmission control module on 2015 to 2018 USDM GT-R and GT-R NISMO models and 2014 to 2017 cars from other markets. Its CARB Executive Order, D-660-134, keeps it legal in all 50 states. Adjustable launch control and clutch torque capacity changes make it the logical pick where launch behavior matters as much as the engine map. A stock car wanting only an engine map can use AP3-NIS-007.

Gearbox Calibration

Reflashing the transmission control module through the Accessport V3 NIS-008 for R35 cars opens adjustments to clutch touch points and clutch torque capacity, along with factory gear learning and enhanced launch control. Transmission monitors can be recorded in the same log as engine monitors. Engine tuning uses staged Off The Shelf maps or a custom tune from a COBB tuner. The factory Multi-Function Display gains a knock indicator and a boost readout that continues past its usual 20 psi limit.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
