Does the Accessport V3 NIS-007 for R35 cars fit the GT-R NISMO?

Yes. COBB confirms the Accessport V3 NIS-007 for R35 NISMO models sold in the US from 2015 through 2017, as well as NISMO cars from Japan for 2014 to 2016 and from Europe and Australia for 2015 and 2016. Standard USDM GT-R models from 2015 through 2018 are covered too.

Is this the right version for a 2014 US market GT-R?

No. COBB lists the 2014 USDM GT-R under AP3-NIS-005 and its TCM Flashing sibling AP3-NIS-006. This part number begins with the 2015 USDM model year, although it does cover 2014 cars built for Japan, Europe, Australia, East Asia, the Gulf and South Africa.

Can it adjust launch control or the dual-clutch gearbox?

No. Adjustable launch control, transmission control module flashing, clutch touch point and torque capacity changes and transmission logging are listed by COBB only for AP3-NIS-006 and AP3-NIS-008. For 2015 to 2018 USDM cars, the matching TCM Flashing version for these years is AP3-NIS-008.

Is this Accessport street legal in all 50 states?

Yes. It carries California Air Resources Board Executive Order D-660-134, so COBB lists it as legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in every state, California included, provided it is used in line with the COBB application guide for the R35 GT-R.

Will it support a big turbo build later?

Yes, with a custom tune. COBB includes speed density tuning, which lets a tuner run the engine from the MAP sensor rather than the MAF sensor once airflow exceeds what the stock MAF can measure. Realtime tuning also allows changes with the engine running on heavily modified GT-R builds.

Description

COBB Tuning Accessport V3 NIS-007 for R35 Nissan GT-R

COBB Tuning’s Accessport V3 NIS-007 for R35 Nissan GT-R models is the engine-only handheld for the later cars: USDM GT-R and GT-R NISMO from 2015 through 2018, plus 2014 to 2017 cars from other markets. It flashes COBB Off The Shelf maps or a custom calibration to the ECU and carries CARB EO D-660-134. It suits a standard or NISMO car whose dual-clutch transmission can stay on factory software; anyone planning clutch or launch control changes should choose AP3-NIS-008.

Engine Calibration

With the Accessport V3 NIS-007 for R35 cars, tuning starts with preloaded OTS maps for each COBB stage and moves to custom calibrations from a COBB tuner. Big-turbo builds that overrun the stock MAF sensor can switch to speed density tuning on the MAP sensor, realtime tuning lets changes land with the engine running, and COBB Fast ECU Flashing brings a map change down to 40 seconds or less. TPMS sensors can be relearned (with a common Tire Pressure Positioning Sensor Tool).

Features

Full color, higher resolution screen with up to six live parameters
Cabin mount with built-in on/off switch
Room for 100 maps, switchable on the fly while driving
Knock indicator and wrap-around boost gauge on the factory Multi-Function Display
Multi-channel datalogging stores up to 10 hours

Notes

50-state legal with CARB EO D-660-134
Engine control unit flashing only; TCM flashing and adjustable launch control are offered on AP3-NIS-008
2014 USDM GT-R models use AP3-NIS-005, not this version
COBB confirms this part through the 2018 model year and does not list 2019 or newer GT-R models
Adjustable traction control, Boost Off The Line and Rolling Boost must be enabled in the ECU calibration
COBB warns that installing this Accessport over anything other than factory or COBB software may result in ECU or TCU failure

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
