Which transmission maps come with PDK Flashing for 991.2 cars?

Six: Simulated Stock, COBB OEM+, COBB Sport, COBB Sport+, COBB Aggressive and COBB High Torque Aggressive. OEM+ is the gentlest, keeping factory shift schedules. Each later map shifts more assertively, with firmer shifts on Aggressive and extra full load clutch pressure on High Torque Aggressive.

Does it cover the GT2 RS?

Yes. The COBB application list includes the 2018 and 2019 911 GT2 RS, and PDK Flashing for 991.2 GT2 RS cars is part of this part number. The published map notes are titled for the Turbo and Turbo S, so GT2 RS owners should read them and contact COBB support with questions.

Will the maps work with aftermarket clutches?

No. COBB states that all of its PDK maps for these cars are designed around the factory clutches. If the transmission has upgraded clutch packs, COBB recommends a custom tune rather than an off-the-shelf map, so plan for a protuner session alongside the clutch upgrade.

What is required after using the High Torque Aggressive map?

A PDK relearn. When moving from High Torque Aggressive to another map, or before uninstalling, COBB says the relearn must be performed after flashing the new map. High Torque Aggressive cannot relearn correctly itself, so flash a different map first and then run the relearn.

Is PDK Flashing for 991.2 models legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists CARB Executive Order numbers D-660-70 and D-660-91 for this Accessport, which permit its sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states, California included, when it is used in accordance with the COBB application guide.

Description

COBB Tuning Accessport V3 with PDK Flashing for 991.2 Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S / GT2 RS

COBB Tuning’s PDK Flashing for 991.2 Turbo, Turbo S and GT2 RS models gives the Accessport V3 control over the dual-clutch gearbox as well as the engine, and the handheld is covered by CARB Executive Orders D-660-70 and D-660-91. The appeal is choice: five transmission maps, from a mild OEM+ setting to enhanced shift schedules with firmer shifts and more clutch pressure. Owners who want the gearbox left alone should buy AP3-POR-012, and upgraded clutches need a custom tune, since every COBB PDK map assumes factory clutch packs.

PDK Calibration

PDK Flashing for 991.2 cars adds five COBB maps to Simulated Stock. Each enables decreased shift time, dual paddle neutral, disabled kickdown and Race Start. OEM+ also disables idle creep while keeping factory shift schedules. Sport enhances shifts under aggressive driving, Sport+ extends that to normal driving, Aggressive adds firmer shifts and turns idle creep off again, and High Torque Aggressive raises clutch pressure under full load.

Features

Flashes both the engine ECU and the PDK transmission module
Customizable multi-gauge display on a full color screen
Stores up to 100 maps, off-the-shelf or from a COBB tuner

Porsche 911 Turbo S: 991.2 | 2017-2019 | PDK

Notes

50-state legal with CARB EO D-660-70 and D-660-91
This version tunes the engine and the PDK; the engine-only handheld is AP3-POR-012
All COBB PDK maps are designed for stock clutches; upgraded clutches call for a custom tune
After running COBB High Torque Aggressive, change to another map and complete a PDK relearn before uninstalling or continuing. The High Torque Aggressive map cannot relearn on its own.
Installing this Accessport over anything other than factory or COBB software may result in ECU or TCU failure

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
