Does the Silver Factory Intercooler Package require cutting the bumper or grille?

No. The silver intercooler sits in the stock location and mates to the OEM shutter shroud, so no cutting, trimming or permanent modification is needed. That makes the Silver Factory Intercooler Package one of the most reversible Stage 2 options COBB lists for the 2024-2025 Raptor.

Is this package legal to run in California?

Yes. COBB lists CARB Executive Order D-660-307 for this Stage 2 package, allowing sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed per the COBB application guide. The intake keeps a HydroCarbon Trap, the emissions element used on the factory intake.

Which maps come loaded on the Accessport?

Engine maps cover Stage 0, Stage 1 and Stage 2 on 91 or 93 octane, plus Performance Tow. Transmission maps are Simulated Stock, OEM+ and Sport, adjusting shift points, firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits. Up to 100 maps can be stored, custom tunes included.

How does this differ from the COBB Stage 2 package with the front mount intercooler?

The front mount version uses a much larger 24 x 14 x 3.5 inch core and needs minor trimming on the back side of the grille. This package keeps the cooler in the factory position with no modification. Both share the Accessport, HCT intake, badge and CARB EO number.

Can water or methanol injection be added later?

Yes. COBB cast two flat sections into this intercooler for that purpose. The top flat can be drilled and tapped for an injection nozzle, and the bottom flat can serve as a drain port. The injection system itself is sold separately and is not part of this package.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Silver Factory Intercooler Package for P702 Ford F-150 Raptor (2024-2025)

COBB Tuning’s Silver Factory Intercooler Package brings the 2024-2025 Raptor to Stage 2 with parts that sit where Ford put the originals: a cast aluminum intercooler in the stock position, an aluminum intake with dual 3 in mandrel bent tubes, and an Accessport V3 that calibrates engine and transmission. COBB states the new core holds roughly 70 percent more volume than stock, yet it needs no cutting, and the package carries CARB EO D-660-307. It suits an owner who tows, wheels and commutes in one truck; anyone chasing the coolest possible charge air should look at the front mount version.

Design and Performance

COBB points to heat soak in the factory intercooler on EcoBoost F-150 trucks as the reason power fades on repeated pulls. The Silver Factory Intercooler Package answers with a TIG welded cast assembly whose end tanks were shaped using computational fluid dynamics, plus a chamfered outlet that eases charge air into the throttle body tube. The intake swaps the factory tubes for aluminum pipe and silicone couplers.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
