Is the Redline Silver Factory Location Intercooler package a bolt-on install?

Yes. COBB designed the silver intercooler to mount in the stock position against the OEM shutter shroud with no cutting, trimming or permanent modification. The carbon fiber intake replaces the factory airbox lid and intake tubes directly. Trucks keeping the factory snorkel also need bracket 8G4625.

Why does the Raptor benefit from a larger intercooler?

COBB notes that the factory intercooler on EcoBoost F-150 trucks is undersized and becomes heat soaked quickly, which reduces available power. The Redline Silver Factory Location Intercooler package addresses this with a cooler offering about 70 percent more core volume and 10 percent more surface area, keeping charge temperatures steadier while towing.

Is the package legal for street use in California?

Yes. COBB lists CARB Executive Order numbers D-660-135, D-660-245 and D-660-289 for this package, which makes it legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states, California included, when installed according to the COBB application guide for 2021-2023 Raptor trucks.

What is the difference between the silver and black versions?

Only the intercooler finish changes. The silver package uses part 7F1527-SL and the black package uses 7F1527-BK; both are the same cast aluminum factory location design. The Redline intake, the Accessport V3, the badge and the CARB EO numbers are identical across both.

Which transmission maps does the Accessport include?

The Accessport V3 in this package carries three Off The Shelf transmission maps for the Raptor: Simulated Stock, OEM+ and Sport. They adjust shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits. They pair with Stage 0 through Stage 2 engine maps.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Redline Silver Factory Location Intercooler Package for P702 Ford F-150 Raptor

COBB Tuning’s Redline Silver Factory Location Intercooler package pairs a silver cast aluminum cooler with the gloss weave of the Redline carbon intake, giving the 2021-2023 Raptor a complete Stage 2 setup that installs without modification. COBB notes the factory intercooler on EcoBoost F-150 trucks heat soaks quickly. The replacement offers about 70 percent more core volume and 10 percent more cooling surface area in the original location. With the Accessport V3 flashing engine and transmission, and CARB EO numbers D-660-135, D-660-245 and D-660-289 on file, it is a strong fit for daily driven trucks; owners chasing every degree of cooling should compare the front mount version.

Design and Performance

The cooler is a cast aluminum, TIG welded assembly with end tanks refined through computational fluid dynamics and a chamfered outlet that eases air into the throttle body tube. It mates snugly to the OEM shutter shroud so air is funneled through the fins much like the stock part. The Redline Silver Factory Location Intercooler setup is matched by the Stage 2 maps on the Accessport.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
