What parts come in the Intake Power Package for GD/GG WRX models?

The Intake Power Package for GD/GG WRX models includes the Subaru Accessport V3, part AP3-SUB-001, the SF Intake System, part 712100, the SF Airbox, part 712160, the Post MAF Hose in Stealth Black, part 712010, and a CARB EO sticker for D-660-42.

Is the Stage 1+ package street legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists CARB Executive Order D-660-42 for the Stage 1+ package, so it may be sold and used on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed according to the COBB application guide. Keep the included EO sticker with the vehicle records.

Does the SF intake need a tune on a 2002-2005 WRX?

Yes. The SF Intake System and Post MAF Hose change the airflow the factory MAF sensor reports, so COBB supplies a matching Stage 1+ map for the Accessport V3 included in this package. Running the intake hardware on the factory calibration is not how COBB intends the parts to be used.

How does Stage 1+ differ from the Stage 1 package for this WRX?

Stage 1, part 612X01, keeps the factory airbox and adds a High Flow Filter alongside the Accessport V3. Stage 1+ replaces the intake with the SF Intake System, SF Airbox and Post MAF Hose and runs a matching Stage 1+ map.

Will this package work with a replacement ECU in a 2002-2005 WRX?

It depends on the part number. COBB does not support the newest Subaru replacement ECUs for these cars, part numbers 22611AF427, 22611AJ034, 22611AH795, 22611AH805, 22611AJ892 and 22611AJ920. Check the ECU label against that list and against COBB Confirmed Applications before ordering the package.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1+ SF Intake Power Package for GD/GG Subaru WRX (2002-2005)

COBB Tuning’s Stage 1+ SF Intake Power Package for GD/GG Impreza WRX sedans and wagons built from 2002 to 2005 bundles four COBB parts designed to work together: the Subaru Accessport V3, the SF Intake System, the SF Airbox and a Post MAF Hose. Buying them together means the intake hardware and the Stage 1+ map arrive matched. CARB EO D-660-42 covers it for street use in every state. Choose it over plain Stage 1 when the whole intake is coming out anyway.

Design and Performance

The SF Intake System and SF Airbox replace the factory air path ahead of the turbo, and the Stealth Black Post MAF Hose completes the run with OEM quality fit and finish. Because the MAF housing is part of what the ECU sees, COBB pairs this hardware with its own Stage 1+ calibration on the Accessport. That is why the Intake Power Package for GD/GG cars ships as a set.

Features

Subaru Accessport V3 flashes the COBB Stage 1+ map and then works as a live gauge
Monitors up to six parameters in real time and records up to 10 hours of logs

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
