How much trimming does the Redline Front Mount Intercooler Package need?

COBB describes the Redline Front Mount Intercooler Package installation as straightforward, with minor trimming required on the back side of the grille. The factory Adaptive Cruise Control bracket is retained when the truck uses the stock bumper. Aftermarket bumper owners should confirm clearance with the bumper maker.

How is this different from the factory location package?

This version uses the 7F2500-BK front mount cooler with a 24 x 14 x 3.5 inch core and needs minor grille trimming. The factory location package uses the 7F1527-BK cast cooler, which mates to the OEM shutter shroud without cutting. Every other component is shared between the two.

Is it street legal in California?

No. COBB states this package is not legal for sale or use in California on any emission controlled motor vehicle while CARB testing is pending. It is sold for on-street use in states that accept the EPA Anti-Tampering Policy, based on COBB testing results.

What can the Accessport do on a Raptor beyond tuning?

It works as a gauge and datalogger, records up to 10 hours of data, measures 0-60 mph and quarter mile runs, and stores up to 100 maps. Raptor specific adjustments include a persistent Auto Start-Stop setting, Dynamic Pedal Control, Valet Mode and in-tank fuel pump control.

Which Raptor years does it fit?

COBB confirms the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor in USDM form with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. The 2021 and later Raptor is not listed, and neither is the F-150 Limited, even though some individual components in the box list it.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 CAN Flex Fuel Redline Front Mount Intercooler Package in Black for P552 Ford F-150 Raptor

COBB Tuning’s Redline Front Mount Intercooler Package is the larger-core route to Stage 2 on the 2017-2020 Raptor, built around the 7F2500-BK cooler with a 24 x 14 x 3.5 inch core. It pairs that cooler with the 7F3160 gloss carbon fiber intake, an Accessport V3, the 3F2650 CAN Flex Fuel Upgrade and a COBB Vehicle Badge. The trade is minor trimming on the back side of the grille, though the Adaptive Cruise Control bracket stays with the stock bumper. For zero modification, choose the factory location version; this kit is not road legal in California.

Cooling and Airflow

COBB sized the core well beyond the factory unit and reports minimal pressure drop despite the added volume. On the intake side, 3 inch tubing replaces the factory piping from the airbox and a carbon lid holds a reusable dual-inlet filter with 165 percent more surface area than stock. In the Redline Front Mount Intercooler Package, the CAN Gateway reports ethanol content to the ECU for the flex fuel calibration.

Features

Black front mount intercooler with a 24 in wide, 14 in tall, 3.5 in thick core
Carbon fiber intake pieces in 3k tow, 2×2 twill with a gloss clear coat
Reusable dual-inlet high flow filter seated in a carbon airbox lid
Accessport V3 gauges, datalogging and performance measuring for 0-60 mph, 60 foot and quarter mile

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
