COBB Tuning’s CAN Flex Fuel and Fuel Pressure Upgrade for 2015-2017 VA WRX six-speed cars exists for one reason: to carry an early COBB flex fuel install over to the CAN Gateway design without buying sensors twice. It supplies the COBB CAN Gateway with its bracket and vehicle harness, plus two plug-and-play harnesses that link the gateway to the ethanol content sensor and the fuel pressure sensor already on the car. Neither sensor is in the box. If the WRX never had the original COBB Ethanol Sensor Kit and fuel pressure kit fitted, this is the wrong part to buy.

Converting an Existing Install

COBB designed the swap around the hardware the owner already has. The old analog wiring harness comes out, the CAN Gateway and its harnesses go in, and the existing ethanol content sensor with its fuel lines and the fuel pressure sensor with its adapter stay where they are. Because the harnesses plug in rather than splice, the Fuel Pressure Upgrade for 2015-2017 cars is a wiring change rather than a fuel system job.
