The Capristo X5 M X6 M valved exhaust replaces a factory system BMW tuned around emissions compliance and cabin refinement first, not the note the S68’s twin-turbo V8 is actually capable of on facelift F95 X5 M Competition and F96 X6 M Competition models built 2024 to 2026. The mild-hybrid assist on these cars makes the stock exhaust even quieter off idle, which is exactly the gap this system is built to close. Capristo builds every system at its own factory in Sundern, Germany, using 3D laser-scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping, and CNC bending and milling to match the S68’s factory mounting points and valve control without any guesswork in the fitment. The tubing is highest-grade T309 stainless steel, hand TIG welded by Capristo’s own welders rather than robotic production welding, and the design carries a patented reinforcement that cuts down the resonance and drone that plague a lot of aftermarket valved systems at highway cruise. This version finishes in carbon fiber tips, of which are three different options for the end ring finish; black, red, or silver. With the rest of the system hand polished to a mirror finish after welding. Capristo has built exhaust systems out of its own factory in Sundern, Germany since 1990, starting with systems for Ferrari and other exotic manufacturers before expanding into BMW M and other high-performance platforms. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
