The Capristo Valved Exhaust System has gained significant popularity for its impressive ability to achieve the ideal sound balance for a car’s exhaust. This distinctive system is engineered to produce a dynamic and powerful exhaust note when accelerating, resulting in a thrilling driving sensation. Nevertheless, it also provides a quieter and more sophisticated sound for urban driving, ensuring a pleasant journey.

Valve Characteristics

The unique feature that sets the Capristo Valved Exhaust System apart is its vacuum-actuated valve flaps. These flaps are designed to open and close based on driving conditions and input from the driver. When driving at low speeds or cruising, the valves remain closed, resulting in a deeper exhaust sound. However, when the driver desires a more aggressive acceleration, the valves open up, allowing the engine to create an exhilarating symphony of sound. This intelligent and responsive design empowers drivers to have full control over the auditory experience of their vehicle.

CES-3 Control Module

The backpressure-controlled exhaust valves are able to be customized by the user via the included CES-3 Control Module. This programmable control unit comes with three operating modes that can be navigated through a remote key fob.
- Cruise: Exhaust valves open at higher RPMs
- Sport: Exhaust valves open at lower RPMs and hard acceleration
- Open: Exhaust valves remain open
The vehicle’s Cruise and Sport modes can be independently configured to establish specific backpressure limits, which subsequently determine the activation times of the exhaust valves. This provides exact control over the exhaust system, enabling modifications to accommodate the driver’s distinct preferences and resilience.

Capristo Exhaust systems undergo a meticulous engineering and manufacturing process at their advanced facility in Germany. The company employs state-of-the-art techniques, including 3D Laser-Scanning, CAD Design, Digital prototyping, and CNC-bending/milling, to ensure precision and accuracy in the production of their systems. Each exhaust system is carefully constructed using high-grade T309 (1.4828) Stainless Steel, which has been selected following extensive research and testing. This particular alloy possesses excellent acoustic resonance properties, lightweight characteristics, and impressive durability. These attributes closely resemble the qualities of Inconel, a renowned material utilized in the demanding domain of Formula 1.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well.
