The iconic Capristo Valved Exhaust System provides drivers with a dual-experience, as it can generate an aggressive exhaust tone during acceleration while delivering a more subdued sound for urban driving.

OEM Integration

• The M3 / M4’s new Capristo exhaust valves are electronically controlled and seamlessly integrate with the OEM Actuators, ensuring the preservation of factory valve functionality through the Sport Control setting. This grants drivers precise control over the exhaust sound, allowing them to tailor it to their personal preferences and tolerance levels without the need for extra electronic components, modules, or remotes.

Valve System

• This feature is possible using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and input from the driver. At lower engine speeds and during cruise operation the valves are closed and produce a deeper exhaust note. At wide-open throttle, the valves open releasing the full symphony of the engine.

Precision Engineering

• Capristo Exhaust systems are meticulously designed and manufactured using state-of-the-art techniques such as 3D Laser-Scanning, CAD Design, Digital prototyping, and CNC-bending/milling at their German factory. Each system is crafted from high-quality T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, then expertly hand-polished to achieve a mirror-like finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was selected for its exceptional sonic resonance characteristics, lightweight nature, and durability, which are comparable to the properties of Inconel (utilized in F1).
