The Capristo Valved Exhaust System tailored for the Audi R8 presents a remarkable enhancement to the vehicle’s exhaust system. Valve Characteristics

• Utilizing vacuum-actuated valve flaps that respond to driving conditions and driver input. When driving at lower engine speeds or during cruise operation, the valves remain closed, resulting in a deeper and more resonant exhaust note. However, when the driver presses the accelerator fully, the valves open, allowing the engine to unleash its full power and produce an exhilarating symphony of sound.

CES-3 Control Module

• The backpressure-controlled exhaust valves are able to be customized by the user via the included CES-3 Control Module. This programmable control unit comes with three operating modes that can be navigated through a remote key fob.
  • Cruise: Exhaust valves open at higher RPMs
  • Sport: Exhaust valves open at lower RPMs and hard acceleration
  • Open: Exhaust valves remain open
• The vehicle’s Cruise and Sport modes can be independently configured to establish specific backpressure limits, which subsequently determine the activation times of the exhaust valves. This provides exact control over the exhaust system, enabling modifications to accommodate the driver’s distinct preferences and resilience.
