The Capristo Valved Catback Exhaust System for the D5 Audi S8 delivers a perfect balance of performance and refinement, offering an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration while maintaining a subdued tone for everyday city driving. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the OEM valve system, it ensures factory-level functionality with enhanced sound and character. Constructed from high-grade T309 stainless steel for durability and performance, this system is available with Capristo’s premium tip options, including carbon fiber with accented colors or Wicrom with accented finishes, allowing for a tailored and distinctive appearance.

Valve System

• This system operates through vacuum-actuated valve flaps that adjust based on driving conditions and driver input. At lower engine speeds and during cruising, the valves remain closed to deliver a deeper tone, while under wide-open throttle they open to release the engine’s full sound. On the S8, Capristo equips the exhaust with electronically controlled valves that work in conjunction with the OEM actuators, preserving factory valve operation through the Sport Control system. This configuration ensures precise exhaust management according to driver preference without the need for additional electronics, modules, or remotes.

Engineering Excellence

• Capristo Exhaust systems are engineered and manufactured utilizing advanced 3D Laser-Scanning, CAD Design, Digital prototyping, and CNC-bending / milling at our factory in Germany. Each system is made of high-grade T309 (1.4828) stainless steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sonic resonance properties, low weight, and durability which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).
