The Ferrari F50 Capristo high-performance system is meticulously crafted to strike a balance between power, drivability, and sonic brilliance, while also shedding significant weight. This design retains Capristo’s signature “best of both worlds” ethos, offering the duality of an assertive exhaust roar during acceleration and a gentler tone for city cruising.

Masterful Craftmanship

• Capristo Exhaust systems undergo a rigorous engineering process, leveraging advanced 3D Laser-Scanning, CAD Design, Digital prototyping, and CNC-bending/milling at their state-of-the-art German facility. Each exhaust system is constructed from the premium T309 (1.4828) Stainless Steel, polished meticulously to a mirror-like sheen. Following in-depth research, this particular alloy was selected for its unique sonic resonance, lightweight attributes, and resilience, closely mirroring the characteristics of the Inconel alloy, renowned in F1.

Amplified Performance

• The Capristo system for the F50 is purpose-built to optimize both performance and acoustics. Featuring race pipes, specific pipe lengths tuned to firing order, a Y-collector, and equal-length manifolds, it stands as a pinnacle of technical design tailored for this legendary model. Notably, the F50’s engine, when operating above 4500 rpm, is averse to backpressure. By incorporating the system’s valves, exhaust gases are channeled through a direct, unsilenced pathway, offering distinct performance nuances.

Valve Mechanics

• The gasses are blended in an X-pipe before exit, increasing the scavenging effect and it gives the car a smoother, more high-pitched sound. Added to the new manifolds, this car will sound sensational and will address some of the criticism levelled at the “toneless, extreme low/mid rpm noise” of the competition’s straight through, the “underwhelming” sound of the competition’s mufflers, and frankly “lackluster” sound of the OEM exhaust.
• A small amount of gasses even in the valve open position will travel through the silenced channel – similar to OEM exhausts. The silencer is optimized such that it’s not just a means of dampening sound at low rpm, but also to add to the F1 howl at high rpm when it’s barely in use.
• A note on that X configuration shown in the direct exit channel – That X in the “valve open” channel creates more torque in mid and high rpm by essentially by creating a vacuum for the gases behind.

Heat Shielding

• The headers and Exhaust X-Pipe are equipped as standard with the innovative Capristo Heat Shield. These utilize a material known for its exceptional heat resistance, a technology pioneered and employed by NASA. Such shields serve to diminish the heat emanating from the exhaust headers and sports catalysts. Impressively, these shields can withstand temperatures up to 1300 degrees Celsius.
• Lowering temperatures within the engine compartment fosters enhanced performance. By maintaining cooler air boxes, the engine intakes air at a cooler temperature. Consequently, this denser air contributes to increased horsepower.
• Given that the exterior of the intensely hot exhaust is insulated from its immediate environment, these shields also minimize the risk of fires, which can sometimes be triggered when fluids or oils come into contact with the exhaust system.

Performance Headers

• The manifolds employ a 6-3-1 design and significantly changed pipe routing compared with the stock manifolds to maximize exhaust flow.
