The integrated remote control kit offers the ability to open the exhaust valves with a simple button press. The remote is equipped with specific plugs tailored exclusively for the new 991.2 GT3RS harness. Modern high-performance engines favor a free-flowing exhaust during wide throttle openings and high RPMs. However, at narrower throttle openings and lower RPMs, typical in traffic situations, a minor increase in exhaust back pressure enhances low-end torque, resulting in a more adaptable and user-friendly engine.

Variable Control

• The pressure is regulated by a butterfly valve or a set of them within the exhaust system. These valves are governed by the engine’s ECU, which dictates when to open or close them based on a predefined set of criteria. In scenarios like track use or sporty driving, where one might want the valves consistently open, a simple press on the remote controller achieves this. For enhanced safety, there’s a fail-safe mechanism that ensures the exhaust valves default to an open position in the event of electrical or vacuum failures, preventing potential engine or header damage due to excessive heat accumulation.
