The Capristo Programmable On-Board Exhaust Remote Control Kit is meticulously designed to seamlessly operate Capristo exhaust valves, effectively controlling their opening and closing functions in exhaust systems equipped with pressure ports.

Performance

• This innovative kit offers precise control over exhaust back pressure, optimizing the engine’s performance across various driving conditions. High-performance engines benefit from a free-flowing exhaust at wide throttle openings and high RPMs, while lower RPMs and smaller throttle openings, like in traffic, benefit from a slight increase in back pressure for improved low-end torque and drivability.
• Butterfly valves within the exhaust system regulate this back pressure. Using the programmable valve control unit, users can customize the exhaust valve opening and closing points. The system continuously monitors back pressure, and during acceleration, as it rises, the controller opens the exhaust butterflies at a preset pressure, releasing back pressure, increasing exhaust gas flow, and enhancing horsepower.

Exhaust Modes

• The opening and closing points for the first two modes are user programmable within certain safety limits.
  • The first is a cruise mode in which the valves will open later and at higher exhaust pressure levels. This allows for a quieter and more comfortable drive.
  • The second is a sport mode which allows a quicker opening of the valves for a more aggressive style of driving.
  • The third mode leaves the valves in the open position. This is oriented towards track use where higher rpm and constant full throttle application requires a freeflow of exhaust gases.

Key Fob

• The kit includes a stylish key fob with two additional buttons that can be configured for use with other compatible equipment (444MHz). An onboard self-learning function enables the programming of additional key fobs as needed. An essential safety feature is the fail-safe condition, which automatically opens the exhaust valves in the event of electrical or vacuum failure, preventing engine and header damage due to excessive heat buildup.

Installation

• The supplied wiring harness comes pre-fitted with connectors for the solenoid valve and controller, simplifying the installation process. The power supply and ground wires are also provided for a hassle-free setup.
