Do the Capristo Exhaust Tips for Ferrari F8 fit both the F8 Tributo and the F8 Spider?

Yes. The Capristo Exhaust Tips for Ferrari F8 fit the F8 Tributo coupe and the F8 Spider, both built on the F142MFL platform for the 2020 to 2023 model years. Capristo lists one set for both body styles. They are not listed for the 488 GTB, 488 Pista or any other Ferrari V8 model.

How are the Capristo carbon exhaust tips installed?

The carbon shells are riveted to the inner shell frame of the factory tailpipes. There is no clamp or slip-on sleeve, so fitting calls for riveting tools and good access to the rear of the car. A shop that works on Ferraris every day is the right place to have them fitted.

What are the Capristo carbon exhaust tips made from?

Each shell is carbon fiber with a matte finish, cured by Capristo in its own autoclave inside billet steel molds. Capristo uses the Type L weave that Ferrari specifies for its factory carbon, so the pattern lines up visually with original carbon trim. The inner tips are anodized aluminum in a jet engine style, finished in red, black, silver or gold.

Will the colored inner tips change color over time?

They can. Capristo states that the tone of the anodized aluminum may change at high temperatures, and the inner tips sit right where the exhaust gas leaves the car. Some shift in shade over the life of the part is normal, and it affects only the colored inner tips, not the carbon shells.

Do the carbon exhaust tips change the sound of the F8?

No. Capristo builds these tips as a styling part that mounts over the factory tailpipe frame, and they do not replace any pipework, valves or silencers. Sound and flow stay as the exhaust system on the car sets them. They suit owners who want the look without a louder car.

Description

Capristo Carbon Exhaust Tips for Ferrari F8 Tributo and F8 Spider

Capristo’s Carbon Exhaust Tips for Ferrari F8 Tributo and F8 Spider swap the plain metal finish of the factory tailpipes for matte carbon shells and colored anodized aluminum inner tips, a change every driver behind the car will notice. Capristo makes the shells in Sundern, Germany, in the Type L weave that Ferrari specifies for its own carbon parts, so they sit naturally beside factory carbon trim. Red picks up the calipers or a Rosso Corsa body, black keeps the rear quiet, and silver or gold give a brighter accent. On an F8 already wearing carbon trim they finish the rear view; on a standard car they are a small detail, and buyers chasing sound should look at an exhaust system instead.

Construction

Capristo makes the shells in house rather than buying in carbon. Each one is cured under heat and pressure in an autoclave inside billet steel molds, and each is finished matte rather than gloss. Inside each shell sits an anodized aluminum inner tip shaped like a jet engine outlet, which is where the color shows.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
