The MgCarbon+ Series wasn’t designed around aesthetics first. It was built for owners running supercars or hypercars where what the wheel is made of has real consequences on how the car performs. Pairing an AZ80 magnesium face with a DYMAG carbon fiber barrel in a 2-piece format brings the construction in approximately 30% lighter than forged aluminum by volume. That weight reduction shows up in acceleration, handling response, and overall feel on platforms engineered to be sensitive to those inputs. AZ80 magnesium carries 12% greater specific strength than aluminum alongside high dampening and shock absorption capacity, which keeps the wheel structurally sound and the ride quality composed through the kind of sustained hard use these cars are built around.

DYMAG Weight Comparison

• DYMAG’s engineering focus starts at the limits of acceleration, braking, and handling, and the carbon fiber barrels used in the MgCarbon+ Series reflect that. Up to 40% lighter than cast aluminum and 20% lighter than forged aluminum, the weight advantage isn’t a talking point; it’s something you feel under hard driving. Every DYMAG barrel meets TÜV, SAE, JWL, and VIA certification requirements, with FEA used to refine the structural design alongside physical validation rather than in place of it.

• Carbon fiber barrels for the MgCarbon+ Series are offered in twill and forged carbon fiber, each available in multiple finish treatments depending on the direction of the build. Full carbon fiber barrel configurations are offered, as well as setups that isolate the carbon to the outer lip, with gloss and satin finishes available across select styles.

Hardware Options

• On the MgCarbon+ 2-piece, all assembly hardware is fully exposed titanium. There’s no stainless steel used here, which is the standard on most other builds. The move to titanium is partly an aesthetic decision, but on a wheel spec’d specifically around mass reduction, it’s primarily a weight call, and that distinction matters on a build where every gram at the wheel is intentional.

• Brixton’s Text and Groove Fill program lets buyers use color to pull specific design details away from the base finish. Epoxy accents can be applied to the Brixton logo, wheel name, series name, and design-specific grooves or spokes, with up to 3 fill locations per wheel depending on the design. Standard colors include Black, Blue, Green, Grey, Orange, Purple, Red, White, and Yellow, with additional colors available on request.

• All Brixton Forged wheels are individually crafted from the finest materials to your individual spec. There are no “off the shelf” Brixton wheels and as such, a lead time of a few weeks is to be expected once your spec has been finalized.
