Advanced Material and Manufacturing Method

• The FRP shells that have been employed up to now have been reinforced with the inclusion of additional high–grade materials (glass fiber and aramid fiber), improving their rigidity by 15%. Moreover, the seat cushion and thigh cushion, which are in contact with the body, have been updated to molded urethane to create a more comfortable and longer–lasting driving experience

Shell Design and Hold Performance Considering Safety

• The shell shape and vertical slots in the back cushion are designed to enhance the fit of the headrest to the back, shoulders and to keep the driver in the right position for an extended period of time. Furthermore, the shape of the thigh lift helps to stop the “submarine phenomenon“ that can occur during hard braking or in the case of a collision

Adopted Large Seat Belt Holes

• The ZIEG IV now includes the same large seat belt hole which was previously featured in the ZETA III PLUS and XERO series. This adjustment allows for a much wider range of compatibility with a variety of racing harnesses and FHR systems (head and neck protection devices), taking into account the various heights of individual drivers and the height of their seating position

The Wide Model Full Bucket Seat 30mm Larger Than The Standard Model

• The ZIEG IV WIDE is an advanced version of the standard ZIEG IV bucket seat. It has been designed to provide higher safety standards and improved performance based on the experience of professional racers and their feedback. It features 30mm wider thigh and 10mm wider shoulder area than the original ZIEG to make it suitable for drivers of larger body shapes. The entire seat shell is the same as the ZIEG IV, with a deep hold shape and round shoulders line to ensure the driver is firmly held in place even when high–speed cornering or driving G forces are applied

• The ZIEG IV WIDE meets the safety requirements of the Japanese Road Transport Vehicle Act for cars. Moreover, it has earned the FIA8855–1999 standard set by the FIA (International Automobile Federation), allowing it to be used for international formal races and competitions. It is equipped with a high level of protection thanks to its design and quality that surpasses even the toughest testing standards

The safety benchmark comprises 6 items–“seat back rear surface crash test”, “head restraint forward crash test”, “head restraint static test”, “seat and seat mounting test”, “seat belt mounting test”, and “flame resistance test”–in which a great amount of force is applied to the seats assuming an accident to check whether the seats are damaged and whether they can be maintained for the regulated time, and to confirm the safety of the seats.
• Also, BRIDE’s seats are the first seats produced in Japan to be licensed by FIA, and they provide 9 models which can be used in international races. In order to maintain and improve product quality to pass safety benchmarks and strict FIA strength tests, BRIDE conducts thorough management of its manufacturing process.
