• CNC-machined from forged 6061-T6 aluminum, it offers perfect grain alignment and structural integrity. Each wheel is cut on 5-axis machines with micron-level precision, enabling advanced geometries and deep undercuts only possible with a fully custom machined wheel.

Integrated Aero-Disc

• The Y-spoke structure is topology-optimized — every pocket, curve, and cutout carefully balanced between strength and mass. The forged aluminum construction allows the disc to be machined as thin as possible while maintaining rigidity, reducing rotational inertia for faster response and improved dynamics.
• A contrast-painted finish separates the polished aero disc from the rest of the high-strength machined wheel, making it visually striking and emphasizing the depth and pattern of the surface — quite literally, where form and function meet.

Wheel Drag Data 150mph

• Simulation Setup: All wheels were tested using the same car in a high-resolution transient LBM simulation. Forces shown are statistical averages over the final 20% of the run, ensuring consistent comparison between configurations. The simulation accurately captures the unsteady turbulent structures generated by spinning wheels, providing realistic insight into their aerodynamic effects at high speed.

  • Key Findings: BP-RW 20″ wheel design performs significantly better than typical open 20″ wheels setup, reducing drag by 243 N, or 12.3%. 19″ variant performs even better. At a 20″ configuration, the BP-RW design matches the drag of a typical 18″ wheel and even comes very close to a 18″ fully covered wheel, with only a 0.010 Cd difference. This shows how effective covering the outside section of wheels is.
  • Why the BP-RW 20″ Wheel Performs Well:
    • The outer section is closed, acting like an aerodynamic disc to reduce turbulence – the outer section has the largest diameter, and thus spins the fastest making the most turbulence in a typical open wheel.
    • The center remains open, allowing for brake cooling and a lightweight visual aesthetic.
    • However, the brake assembly covers nearly the entire open area, effectively making it behave close to a closed wheel in terms of airflow.
    • This hybrid design minimizes wheel-well and wheel airflow disruption, a major source of drag.
    • By contrast, an open-spoke 20″ wheel allow more air to pass through the entire wheel cavity, increasing turbulence and resistance.
  • Conclusion: The BP-RW wheel shows that with thoughtful design, a 20″ wheel can approach the aerodynamic efficiency of 18″ aero wheels — while looking far more striking and special. It achieves a combination of low drag, visual impact, and brake functionality, outperforming typical 20″ wheels and matching or exceeding the 18″ setups.
