Does the Boost Logic Titanium Exhaust System for 8V RS3 include the mid pipe?

Yes. Boost Logic quotes the complete system, including the mid pipe, at 25 lbs, compared with 69 lbs for the factory exhaust and Y pipe. That makes the Titanium Exhaust System for 8V cars a 44 lb saving from the RS3, which Boost Logic lists as a main benefit alongside flow and sound.

Should I choose the valved or non-valved version?

Choose valved if you want the car to stay quieter in daily driving. Boost Logic designs the valved version to work like the OEM valves, closed under partial throttle in Comfort mode and open when the drive select is set to Dynamic. The non-valved version has no valves to close. Both cost the same, so tell Bulletproof Automotive which one you need.

What tip finishes are available?

Boost Logic fits blued titanium tips as standard and offers black ceramic coated tips as a $100 upgrade. The oval slash-cut tips are fully adjustable, so their position can be set to sit correctly in the rear bumper openings. Ask Bulletproof Automotive to add the black ceramic option when you place your order.

Does it fit the 8Y RS3?

No. This Formula Series system is built for the 8V RS3 sold from 2017 to 2020. Boost Logic makes a separate titanium exhaust system for the 2022 and later 8Y RS3 under part number 11010110, so owners of the newer car should order that listing instead of this one.

Boost Logic publishes no dyno figures for this system, so no power gain is claimed. The merge collectors are designed for high flow and the 44 lb saving helps the car everywhere, but the benefits Boost Logic states are weight and sound. Talk to your tuner if the RS3 also runs a tune or downpipe.

Description

Boost Logic Formula Series Titanium Exhaust System for 8V Audi RS3

Boost Logic’s Titanium Exhaust System for 8V Audi RS3 belongs to the Formula Series titanium line, and Boost Logic puts the complete system, mid pipe included, at 25 lbs against 69 lbs for the factory exhaust and Y pipe. That 44 lb saving comes from full titanium construction, precision TIG-welded, with proper merge collectors for flow and fully adjustable oval slash-cut titanium tips in a blued finish as standard. The valved version keeps the factory Comfort and Dynamic behavior, so it suits an RS3 that still does daily duty; the non-valved version is for owners who want the five-cylinder heard all the time.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
