Does the Boost Logic Aluminum Intake Kit for Lexus LC 500 need a tune?

Yes. Boost Logic states that the Aluminum Intake Kit for Lexus LC 500 requires tuning. The pipes include MAF sensor provisions, but the change in intake airflow means the engine calibration should be adjusted to suit. Arrange the tune with your tuner before or at the time the intake is installed.

What finishes are available?

The pipes are offered in a powder coated wrinkle black finish or a mirror polished finish, both shown in the product photos. Boost Logic also offers a range of custom powder coat colors at an additional charge. Tell Bulletproof Automotive which finish you want when ordering so the correct version ships.

Is installation difficult?

No. Boost Logic designs the kit to install without any custom fabrication on the car, which makes it a quick modification for a capable home mechanic or a shop. The pipes are one piece and mandrel bent, and the MAF sensor mounts in the provisions built into the tubing. Plan the required tune alongside the install.

Does it fit the LC 500h?

Boost Logic lists the kit for the Lexus LC 500, which uses the 5.0 liter V8. The LC 500h hybrid uses a different V6 powertrain and is not listed, so treat this intake as a V8 LC 500 part only. Contact Bulletproof Automotive with any fitment questions before ordering.

What filters come with the kit?

The kit comes with dual high-flow 3 inch filters. Boost Logic selects them to allow as much airflow as possible while keeping out the smallest dust particles, which matters on an open filter intake. Inspect and clean the filters at regular intervals, especially when the car is driven in dusty conditions.

Description

Boost Logic 3-Inch Aluminum Intake Kit for Lexus LC 500

Boost Logic’s 3-Inch Aluminum Intake Kit for Lexus LC 500 pairs mandrel-bent, one-piece 3-inch aluminum tubing with dual high-flow 3-inch filters, engineered in house for the smoothest and straightest airflow Boost Logic could fit. The pipes carry MAF sensor provisions and install without custom fabrication, which makes this a quick upgrade for the 5.0-liter V8, though Boost Logic states the kit requires tuning. The pipes come in wrinkle black powder coat or a mirror polished finish, with custom powder coat colors at extra charge. It is a sensible first intake upgrade for an LC 500 owner who already plans a tune; for a car staying on the factory calibration it is the wrong part.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
