About BBS

In 1970, two motor racing enthusiasts from Schiltach in Germany’s Black Forest, Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand, founded BBS. They started by making lightweight fiberglass body parts to give their own cars a better chance on track. To cut unsprung weight further they developed a three-piece race wheel, which drew the attention of professional teams including BMW Motorsport and grew the company quickly. In 1983 the three-piece RS design arrived and has been one of the most recognized wheels in the industry ever since. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
