About BBS

In 1970, two amateur racers from Schiltach in the Black Forest region of Germany — Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand — founded BBS. The company initially specialized in engineering light–weight fiberglass body panels to improve performance on race tracks. They then went a step further by creating an innovative three part racing wheel which caught the attention of professional teams such as BMW Motorsports; this helped them grow even more.
