Wheel Technology

• Since 1996, BBS has been utilizing flow-forming technology. This process includes a constant rotational motion with three hydraulic rollers and significant pressure at high temperatures to shape the inner rim area of the wheel. Such a procedure modifies the mechanical characteristics of the cast rim area, resulting in increased strength, stiffness, and impact resistance. Consequently, these wheels boast a remarkable “stiffness to weight ratio”, providing a high level of performance at a more affordable cost than forged wheels.

About BBS

In the early 1970s, two German racers from Schiltach in the Black Forest region – Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand – founded BBS. In order to give themselves a performance advantage on the track, they began creating lightweight fiberglass body panels.
