It seamlessly integrates a flow-formed rim and gains an elegant enhancement from a precisely back-milled spoke area. Importantly, this wheel also includes a stainless steel rim protector and has undergone meticulous weight optimization through the application of the Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis.

Performance Line

• Since 1996, BBS has engaged in the practice of flow-forming wheels. Flow forming is a technique that involves a constant rotational movement using three hydraulic rollers along with significant pressure under elevated temperatures to “shape” the inner rim region of the wheel. Through this process, the mechanical attributes of the cast rim section are altered to enhance strength, rigidity, and impact resilience, thereby improving the “stiffness to weight ratio.” This enhancement results in achieving a notably elevated level of performance, all at a cost significantly lower than that of a forged wheel

About BBS

In the early 1970s, two German racers from Schiltach in the Black Forest region – Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand – founded BBS. In order to give themselves a performance advantage on the track, they began creating lightweight fiberglass body panels. To help further lower unsprung weight, they also developed an innovative three-part racing wheel which quickly gained attention from professional teams such as BMW Motorsports; this spurred growth for their company. 1983 saw them launch their signature 3 piece ‘RS’ design: it is still one of leading wheels within its industry today . Keeping up with technology learnt through motor sports has been essential to meeting BBS’s mission statement “Technology through Motorsport”.
