Its straight-through mufflers and custom X-pipe produce a controlled, aggressive tone with the valves closed and a more pronounced, open sound when activated. The system is built for durability, using OEM-grade valves, machined aluminum brackets, and dual heat shields to protect electronics, all while reducing weight by 15 lb compared to stock. Finished with quad 4.5″ double-walled diamond black slash-cut tips, it balances performance, longevity, and precision, and is fully emissions-compliant, engineered and manufactured in-house at AWE’s Pennsylvania facility.

Signature sound all of the time

• AWE Tuning’s SwitchPath exhaust delivers a signature soundtrack in any valve position, enabled by specifically tuned straight-through mufflers and a precision-engineered X-pipe. Valves closed, it’s assertive; valves open, it’s vicious exactly how a high-revving flat-plane V8 should sound. Well-mannered when cruising and a riot at wide-open throttle, all via factory controls. Fully compatible with high-flow pipes, with mufflers engineered to tame harsh frequencies.

Stealth shielding

• AWE Tuning equips the Z06 with two machined aluminum heat shields that bolt to factory bumper mounts, allowing the exhaust to show through the mesh while protecting the bumper’s interior. Unlike wrap-based solutions that can trap moisture and harm components, this bolt-on shielding delivers durable, clean thermal protection.

No CEL Guarantee

• AWE Tuning’s No CEL (check engine light) Guarantee designated on select products assures against CELs when the product is properly installed and used as intended on an otherwise unmodified vehicle, except for other AWE components engineered to work with it.

Lifetime Exhaust Warranty

• AWE Tuning’s Lifetime Exhaust Warranty available on select exhaust products covers manufacturer defects, defined as any characteristic that hinders the product’s intended use. The warranty does not cover cosmetic changes or normal wear and tear, and all coverage ends when a product is discontinued. Protection applies only to AWE-brand exhaust tubing, welding, and flex sections.
