The Track Edition Exhaust is designed for drivers seeking a more aggressive, unfiltered tone. It retains the integrated front pipe, midpipe resonator, and precise engineering of the Touring Edition but swaps the rear 180 Technology® drone-canceling resonator for a straight-through section. This produces a louder, more pronounced sound during mid-range acceleration and deceleration, which may feel intense for some drivers.
Both Touring and Track Editions feature configurable tips, allowing owners to switch between dual or triple 4.5” slash-cut setups using the included stamped tip connections. The tips are 4.5” double-walled, available in chrome silver or diamond black, feature the AWE logo, and can be adjusted in depth to match personal preference.
AWE analyzed the factory exhaust valve across different driving modes and found that overall volume is mostly consistent. The valve remains closed only in Comfort mode until a throttle threshold is reached, while Sport and Sport+ modes keep it open, with Sport+ introducing ECU-controlled burbles. In the stock setup, exhaust flows through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to reduce cabin noise and drone, and through the center section when open.
The system supports easy switching between Track and Touring Editions, as well as between dual and triple tip configurations, offering flexibility to adjust both sound and appearance over time.
