The AWE Tuning Track Edition Exhaust for the Mk7 Volkswagen Jetta GLI, designed to work with the OEM downpipe, is a 3″ stainless steel cat-back system built to improve flow and deliver a more aggressive, unfiltered tone. Unlike the Touring Edition, it forgoes the drone-canceling resonator, producing a pronounced mid-range and high-RPM sound while remaining controlled at lower speeds. The system features a straight-through midpipe and rear section to maintain consistent exhaust velocity, and the chrome silver 102mm tips integrate neatly with the rear valance. Installation uses factory mounting points, preserving emissions compliance, and the design ensures consistent tonal character, fitment, and performance across all driving conditions.

Track Edition Exhaust

• The Track Edition Exhaust is intended for drivers seeking a more aggressive, unfiltered tone. It retains the same integrated front pipe, midpipe resonator, and overall precision engineering as the Touring Edition, but replaces the rear 180 Technology® drone-canceling resonator with a straight-through section. This produces a louder, more pronounced sound during mid-range acceleration and deceleration, which can be intense for some drivers.

Exhaust Tips

• Both Touring and Track Editions offer configurable tips, allowing owners to switch between dual or triple 4.5″ slash-cut setups using the included stamped tip connections. The tips are 4.5″ double-walled, available in chrome silver or diamond black, feature the AWE logo, and can be adjusted in depth to match personal preference.

Nope, It’s Not Valved

• During development, AWE analyzed the factory exhaust valve across different driving modes. Volume remains mostly consistent, with the valve closed only in Comfort mode until a defined throttle threshold is reached. In Sport and Sport+ modes, the valve stays open, with Sport+ introducing ECU-controlled burbles. In the stock setup, exhaust flows through the side mufflers when the valve is closed to reduce cabin noise and drone, and through the center section when open.

Conversion Kits

• The system allows for straightforward switching between Track and Touring Editions, as well as between dual and triple tip configurations, offering flexibility to adjust both sound and appearance over time.
