This model features an integrated front pipe, a sturdy mid-pipe resonator, high-quality T304L stainless steel, and a customized version of AWE’s 180 Technology® designed specifically for the FL5 at the back, offering versatility and reliability for everyday use.

Front Pipes

• Both the Touring and Track Edition Exhausts are equipped with a comprehensive 3” front pipe, meticulously designed with a unique flange and gasket to ensure a uniform diameter throughout. This front pipe is flawlessly integrated into the exhausts, enhancing their overall design. It is important to understand that AWE exhausts are precisely engineered to match only with their respective systems, and are not made to be compatible with front pipes from other aftermarket providers.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE’s 180 Technology® functions through a precise process: Exhaust gases exit the engine and enter a resonator fitted with this innovative technology. Here, the gases are directed through strategically placed ports into specialized reflection chambers.
• Within these chambers, sound waves from the exhaust bounce off the walls. AWE’s acoustic experts meticulously design the size and location of the ports and chambers to suit the acoustic needs of each specific vehicle model. By adjusting these key factors, they expertly control when the sound waves leave the chambers. The reintroduction of these reflected waves back into the main exhaust stream creates a 180-degree phase-shifted sound wave, effectively canceling out unwanted noises.
