What is 180 Technology?

AWE’s 180 Technology® routes exhaust flow through a resonator with carefully placed ports that lead into reflection chambers, where sound waves are redirected and controlled. The size, position, and volume of these chambers are tuned specifically for each vehicle, allowing engineers to manage when the reflected waves return to the main exhaust stream. When they re-enter, they’re 180 degrees out of phase with the original waves, canceling the frequencies that cause drone. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
