The AWE Tuning Touring Edition Exhaust for the C205 and W205 Mercedes-Benz C400, C43 AMG, and C450 AMG is a bespoke system built specifically for the 3.0L turbocharged C-Class, designed to balance performance and refinement in equal measure. It installs as a direct bolt-on, straight-through setup and uses AWE’s patented 180 Technology® to eliminate cabin drone while delivering a civil, smooth soundtrack across the entire RPM range. A custom X-pipe is built into both the Touring and Track Editions, unlocking a clean, aggressive tone without rasp, and the system retains the factory Mercedes-Benz tips. If the sound ever needs adjusting in either direction, AWE’s Conversion Kit makes switching between Touring and Track Editions simple; unclamp the rear section, swap the configuration, reattach the tips, and done.

Touring Edition Exhaust

The Touring Edition is a direct bolt-on, straight-through design, delivering a civil, smooth soundtrack throughout the range while providing an enhanced in-cabin driving experience. Both the Touring Edition and the Track Edition allow you to retain those ‘Benz tips we all love.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE’s 180 Technology® routes exhaust flow through a resonator with carefully placed ports that lead into reflection chambers, where sound waves are redirected and controlled. The size, position, and volume of these chambers are tuned specifically for each vehicle, allowing engineers to manage when the reflected waves return to the main exhaust stream. When they re-enter, they’re 180 degrees out of phase with the original waves, canceling the frequencies that cause drone. Each system is developed around the acoustics of a specific platform rather than a generic setup, so the result is consistent—unwanted tones are removed while the exhaust note remains clear, balanced, and true to the engine.
