The clean straight-through design keeps airflow unrestricted for maximum performance, and the whole system bolts on directly for a factory-like install with no modifications needed. Dyno-developed and street-proven on AWE’s own MK7 GTI, it finishes with 102mm double-walled chrome silver tips and delivers the kind of tone that makes the GTI feel like the hot hatch it was always meant to be.

What is 180 Technology?

• AWE acoustic engineers size and position the ports and chambers based on the sound requirements of each specific vehicle. Sound waves travel with the exhaust gases and bounce off the reflection chamber walls, and the size and placement of those elements determines exactly when the waves exit and re-enter the main exhaust flow. That timing is what produces a sound wave running 180 degrees out of phase with the problematic frequencies, canceling them out before they become an issue.
